Vincent Vergara’s Online Icebreaker

Hello, Everyone! I am Vincent Vergara. I am originally from the Philippines and moved here in 2012 when I was 10. I am extremely passionate when it comes to the sport of basketball. I am the biggest Los Angeles Lakers fan in this school, hands down. Kobe Bryant is also my favorite NBA Player ever. I’ve been watching Kobe and the LA Lakers since I was 4 years old. I enjoy contributing to our school by being in multiple clubs like Red Cross and HOSA. I also played basketball for Dulles High School. I’m looking forward to a great semester with all of you and Ms. Halfen!

In this image, my teammates, Richard (Top Left), Josue (Top Right), Eshan (Bottom Left), and I, got 2nd Place on the Dulles HS Men of Excellence 3 on 3 Tournament that was held on March 23, 2018. This was a moment I was very proud of because my teammates and I showed resilience and determination throughout the whole tournament while also having fun playing our favorite sport. We also contributed to the cause and helped the Men of Excellence club by participating in this event.
